The short version
This is a directory, not a data business. We do not sell your data, we do not run ad networks or retargeting pixels, and we do not ask you to make an account.
What we collect
Two measurement tools run on these pages:
- Google Analytics 4 (G-PGE2LLDP8F) records aggregate traffic: which pages get read, roughly where
visitors come from, and which links get clicked. IP addresses are anonymized by Google before we see anything.
- Microsoft Clarity (xno3lpstfa) records anonymized session playback and heatmaps, so we can
see where the directory is confusing to use. Clarity masks text input by default, so anything you type is not captured.
Neither tool tells us who you are, and we make no attempt to identify individual visitors.
What you send us
The suggest-a-school, claim-a-listing, and correction forms collect only what you type into them. We use those messages to verify and fix listings, and we do not add you to any mailing list. There is no newsletter on this site.
Saved schools
Your saved schools and compare shortlist live in your own browser, in local storage and session storage. They never reach our server. Clearing your browser data erases them, and we have no copy.
Cookies
The two tools above set their own cookies to count returning visits. We set none of our own.
Opting out
Browser Do Not Track and standard content blockers stop both tools; the site works exactly the same without them. You can also opt out of Google Analytics everywhere using Google's browser add-on.
