Los Angeles Acting Studio

The Los Angeles Acting Studio is a boutique operation with a serious lineage: artistic director Irene Muzzy spent four years training under Sanford Meisner himself at Playhouse West, graduated in the first LA class of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and carries forty years of industry experience including television credits from The X-Files to Frasier.

Her Hybrid Meisner Technique blends the Meisner foundation with Adler, Hagen, and John Cassavetes influences, taught in deliberately small classes where assignments are custom-made for each actor. Three pillars structure the teaching: troubleshooting individual blocks, the technique foundation itself, and persona and branding work that connects craft to castability. Two weekly adult classes run, Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings, with private coaching in person, on set, or over Zoom.

Free participating audits are offered by appointment, the honest way in.
