Richie's Actors Workshop, usually called R.A.W., is a small online workshop run by coach Richie Chance. The core offering is the Actors Lab, a roughly two-hour Thursday evening session on Zoom where actors work scenes and audition material and get notes. It is one of the cheaper ways in this directory to keep working every week: a single workshop is published at $40, and a monthly package of three workshops plus a showcase is $125.
The official Actors Lab page says all classes and the showcase are currently online, even though the site footer still shows a West Hollywood studio address, so treat this as a Zoom class. Private audition prep and career consultations are sold separately.
A caution on the showcase: it is marketed as a performance for industry professionals. No class, showcase, or workshop can guarantee auditions, representation, or work. Judge R.A.W. on the scene work alone.
Techniques taught
- Eclectic / multi-technique: Schools that draw on several lineages and fit the tools to the actor, not the reverse.
- On-camera technique: Camera-specific craft: frame awareness, stillness, commercial and film/TV set behavior.
